Stitches (as in the kind you don't want to get) was written at the request of the dynamic performer Ingrid Hagan, and was first performed at her Graduation recital at Manhattan School of Music along with Joshua Davis.

So far I have only needed 3 stitches since writing the piece (knock on bassoon) for a wound suffered while extracting a brass union from a spent piece of 1" Wirsbo water line.
